The NorthStar SLIM Tach encoder tachometer line (formerly Lakeshore encoders) was originally designed as a low profile solution for heavy duty motor feedback applications where shaft space is limited. With profiles as slim as 0.75 inches, the SLIM Tach encoder tachometer line is ideal for sandwich mount applications where an encoder is mounted between a brake or gearbox. The next generation of SLIM Tach encoders offers easily installation and reliability thanks to a large non contacting air gap, active LED indicators with diagnostics and fully encapsulated electronics. The latest high current line driver, active line suppression, reverse polarity and ESD protection are available adding cutting edge technology to the SLIM Tach family.
