HS35 and HSD35 Get CSA Approval for Hazardous Duty

Dynapar is pleased to announce the popular motor-mount hollowshaft HS35 and its sister product, the NorthStar HSD35, now have CSA approval for use in hazardous environments. Both encoders now have Class I, Division 2 Groups A, B, C, and D approval and Class II, Division 2 Groups F and G approvals when ordered with the “D2” order code. When ordered with this designation, the products will bear the appropriate CSA mark with “C” and “US” indicators. The Dynapar HS35 has been the industry standard for vector motor feedback for years, and the new approval will allow its application base to expand into the oil and gas market. The NorthStar HSD35 is of similar hollowshaft design but with field serviceable connectors that require no soldering. Both encoders are immediately available and are manufactured in Gurnee, IL.
